Grass cutting (but not collection) across whole field and grass areas of the car park next to Bowls Club Weekly during the cutting season Expect a minimum of 24 cuts spread between April and November.
Grass collection after cutting Prior to Cricket Club’s home games to be notified to contractor prior to Cricket season Expect ten games per year when collection after grass cut is required and put into grass clamp in the car park
Grass Clamp located in car park To be emptied twice a year Clamp for temporary storage, also used by Bowls Club.
Strimming along the field boundaries and tennis court fences and Bowls Club fences and around the Children’s play area equipment and fence and around the new Gym equipment and basket ball hard standing (to be installed shortly) Fortnightly during the cutting season Expect a minimum of 14 cuts spread between April and November. Ensure strimming debris does not land in tennis courts.
The low Hornbeam hedge adjacent to western boundary of Bowls Club Twice a year. Weed along the hedge/fence line from the road to the side gate.
Hedge cutting Once a year (either prior to or after the nesting season) Minor trimming of boundary hedges, special attention to the hedge adjacent to the tennis courts and storage containers to ensure an adequate width of footpath and the hedge bordering the residence known as John O ‘Gaddesdens, at the Sports Pavilion car park
Trimming of Laurel Hedge screen planting adjacent to metal storage containers Once a year Just to thicken up this screen of foliage
Path weed spraying Three times a year, May, July and September Footpath from Sports Pavilion to tennis courts and around to telephone exchange. Footpath to Children’s play area from the Bowls Club car park. Around Sports Pavilion building and adjacent car park and around tennis court fence
Playing field weed spraying Once in May/June Spray the entire field with broad leaved weed killer
Fertilizer dressing In April/May and in September Broadcast compound feed to entire 4 acres
Drainage Once in November Vertidrain with spikes all playing surfaces once a year
Aeration In April/May and in September Slit aeration twice a year
Worm suppressant Once in November Apply to all football pitches
Car park adjacent to Bowls Club. Brushing into grid of loose stones to maintain an even surface Quarterly Spare material to be kept spread low at the rear of the car park for easy access. Material to be separately supplied outside this contract
Rabbit hole filling Weekly between April and September Quick check and fill
White lines for school sports day Twice a year, usually beginning of May and beginning of June Provide an eight lane, straight line grid seventy metres long with 10 metre interval cross lines, (middle box i.e. between 30 and 40 metres has five crossbars i.e. two metre intervals). Track runs from the Sports Pavilion towards the Bowls Club, parallel and set back a couple of metres from Church Road
Grass seeding of bare surfaces Not included in this contract To be reviewed annually
White pitch markings for footballers Not included in this contract Contractor liaises directly with the football club if this service is required.
