National Trust Tree Works

This message has just been received by LGPC  16 July 2026.

Apologies for the late notice of this information, but I have just been informed by our Countryside Team of some planned activity that may affect Little Gaddesden.

Starting today (Thursday 16th July), our contractor will be working through Golden Valley, along the permitted bridleway Horseshoe Track, to remove felled timber. The timber will be stacked along the road that leads from College Road down towards Horseshow Track. The timber movement will last for approx. one week and will be removed over the coming months.

Please see Areas of Activity Map East Jul26.

I have sent an email out to our horse-riding mailing list to let them know about the work. We have advised them to avoid the Golden Valley area while the work is being carried out as it will impact the permitted bridleways in the area, particularly Horseshoe Track.

Please do pass this information on and let me know if you have any questions. Apologies again for such short notice. I have asked the Countryside Team to give advanced notice of future work so we can pass it on in advance.
